New species and new records of terrestrial isopods (Crustacea, Isopoda, Oniscidea) from Brazil

A large collection of terrestrial isopods from different Brazilian regions were examined. Two new species in the genus Amazoniscus (Scleropactidae) are described: A. paulae from the state of Pará and A. schmidti from Minas Gerais. Pseudotyphloscia alba (Philosciidae) is firstly recorded from Brazil. The systematic position of Prosekia lejeunei and Venezillo tuberosus are discussed, and the latter transferred to the genus Ctenorillo. Diploexochus echinatus from the state of Pará, is redescribed.
