Author Guidelines

  1. Submission files are in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format (provided it does not exceed 2MB)2. Is the cover page with the name, address, phone number, e-mail address of the lead author and full name of all the authors, along with the highest academic title and institutional affiliation?
  2. Is the place of work mentioned in the text?4. Is the category to which the article belongs?
  3. Is the contribution original and unpublished, and not being evaluated for publication by another journal?
  4. Does the text contain Descriptors / Keywords? They are based on the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) -http: //decs.bireme.br. Keywords based on Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) - http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/meshhome.html, minimum three and maximum six citations?
  5. Does the text Summary / Summary contain a maximum of 200 words? In case original article is structured?8. Does the text contain the level of evidence and type of study, as per the classification table attached at the end of the instructions to the authors?
  6. Does the introduction present the subject and purpose of the study?
  7. The Discussion emphasizes new and important aspects of the study. Previously published methods should be compared to the current one so that results are not repeated
  8. Did the references strictly follow the standard set by the journal?
  9. Are the pages of the text sent numbered in consecutive order?
  10. Do all figures have captions? Are they sequentially numbered in Arabic numerals?
  11. In the tables, graphs and illustrations submitted mention the permission to reproduce them. Are the drawings signed?15. Has the text been spell-proofed?
  12. Is the work accompanied by a Conflict of Interest Statement?
  13. If relevant, the work must be accompanied by a Certificate of Approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the institution in which it was performed.
  14. If it is a Clinical Trial do you have an identification number?
  15. Has the authorship ID of this work been removed from the Word Properties file and option, thus ensuring the journal's confidentiality criteria if submitted for peer review (eg articles)?
  16. Is the work accompanied by a Conflict of Interest Statement?
  17. If relevant, the work must be accompanied by a Certificate of Approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the institution in which it was performed.
  18. If it is a Clinical Trial do you have an identification number?
  19. Has the authorship ID of this work been removed from the Word Properties file and option, thus ensuring the journal's confidentiality criteria if submitted for peer review (eg articles)?
