Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
The title must not contain more than 15 (fifteen) words, and only the first letter of the first word is capitalized.
The manuscript brings unpublished contribution and has not been and will not be submitted to other journal for evaluation, until the final decision of the Agriambi Journal.
The manuscript has been reviewed by a specialist for orthography and grammar of English.
The manuscript file to be sent in the submission does not contain either the name(s) of the author(s) or the identification of the institutions, because this file will be made available to the reviewers in the SciELO system, ensuring blind evaluation by the pairs.
The manuscript is written in the Microsoft Word 2016, portrait orientation, double space between lines, top and bottom margins of 2.54 cm and left and right margins of 3 cm, font Times New Roman, size 12, A4 paper, numbered pages, including tables and figures, and lines with continuous numbering.
There is no limitation on the number of authors of the article.
The abstract does not contain more than 250 words or abbreviations.
None of the key words is in the title.
The Resumo and Palavras-chave are an exact translation of the Abstract and Key words.
The Introduction highlights the relevance of the research and does not have more than 1 (one) page.
The item Material and Methods contains essential information that allows the replication of the research.
The results are interpreted and discussed based on the literature.
Tables and Figures are self-explanatory and are inserted in the manuscript right below the paragraph in which they were cited for the first time.
The Conclusions are written succinctly, i.e., without comments or explanations, and do not contain abbreviations.
All units are expressed in the ISU (International System of Units).
The manuscript does not contain equations or words in italics, except scientific names of plant and animal species, which is obligatory.
The manuscript does not contain less than 80% of references of journals, and at least 40% are from the last 5 (five) years.
There are no citations of in-press articles, personal communication, handout, monograph, internet text, works published in congresses, nor of dissertations and theses.
All bibliographic citations are only of original references, i.e., there are no citations such as “apud” or “cited by”.
The formats of the bibliographic references are in agreement with the examples presented in the Instructions to Authors, and at the end of each bibliography listed is the link to its doi for access.
All bibliographic references cited in the text are on the list of Literature Cited and vice versa.
- The article submission fee was paid, according to Instructions to Authors.
- The Original Article has the following sequence: Title in English, Highlights, Abstract, Key words, Title in Portuguese, Resumo, Palavras-chave, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Contribution of authors, Supplementary documents, Conflict of interest, Funding statement, Acknowledgements (optional), Literature Cited. The contribution in the form of a Literature Review should have the following sequence: Title, Abstract and Keywords in English and then Title, Resumo and Palavras-chave in Portuguese, Introduction, items on review topics or the items Material and Methods and Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Contribution of authors, Supplementary documents, Conflict of interest, Funding statement, Acknowledgements (optional), Literature Cited.
- After submission of the article through the SciELO System, subsequent changes to the authors' names are not allowed, whether in sequence, substitution or addition.
- For both the Original Article and the Literature Review there is no maximum limit on bibliographic references.
- Make sure that the submitted article has been edited in the Original Article Template or in the Literature Review Template, available on the Agriambi Journal website.
