Globalização e Poder Efetivo: a ascensão da China

Abstract

Este artigo examina as principais transformações na era da globalização econômica, bem como seus impactos sobre o poder efetivo dos países de maior importância na arena internacional. A análise da evolução do poder efetivo dos países abarca as esferas comercial, produtiva, tecnológica, monetária e financeira. Os principais resultados são: a redução relativa do poder econômico efetivo dos Estados Unidos; o crescente poder efetivo da China na economia mundial; e, a elevada vulnerabilidade externa estrutural de algumas das principais economias do mundo em desenvolvimento.
