SEGURANÇA ALIMENTAR E NUTRICIONAL NA AMÉRICA DO SUL E BRICS: AVANÇOS E “NUVENS” NO HORIZONTE

Abstract

O artigo parte de uma avaliação de que o sistema capitalista global é intrinsecamente desigual. Os dados de base são os do desempenho das economias nacionais. Há uma problematização desta tese no período mais recente pós-crise de 2008, pois há trabalhos que sustentam que há mudança estrutural em favor das economias em desenvolvimento. Os elementos teóricos sistematizados no artigo corroboram a tese de que o sistema segue desigual, embora com mudanças na margem. Para mostrar isto com novos elementos, há uma segunda parte em que os dados sociais relacionados à Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional são sistematizados para a região da América do Sul. Contata-se progresso social, porém os indicadores mostram uma situação ainda muito distante da realidade das economias desenvolvidas.
