Abstract

Abstract

The rapid growth of employment in food delivery and cab drivers has spurred the production of a large number of descriptive articles dealing mostly with the deterioration of job quality. Little has been done in order to understand this new type of capital from a theoretical point of view. This article proposes to fill that gap by proposing that plataform capitals dealing with food delivery and passenger transportation should be defined as “sales dealing capital”. Side by side with this type of capital there is a great number of people not regularly employed, whose revenue are derived from a large array “selling in order to buy” activities, that is, simple commodity circulation. Simple commodity circulation is thus captured by the circuit of valorization of sales dealing capital. The subsumption of simple commodity production/circulation to the circuit of sales dealing capital allows for an alternative take on the features displayed by these new forms of employment.

    Graduada em Ciências Econômicas pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2004), mestre em Desenvolvimento Econômico pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2007) e Doutora em Tecnologia pela Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR). Atualmente é professora do Departamento de Economia da Universidade Federal do Paraná, ministra a disciplina de Economia Política e atua em pesquisas na área de Economia Política.

    Possui graduação em Abi - Matemática pela Universidade de São Paulo(1973), especialização em Pós-gradução em Análise Econômica pelo Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas(2013), especialização em Curso e Especialização em Administração para Graduados pela Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo(1982) e mestrado em Economia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo(2016). Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas:Capital comercial, Capital global, Capital industrial, Comércio eletrônico, Esferas de circulação e produção.
