The so-called Financing Agencies are, in Brazil, a complementary instrument for public funding, particularly for small companies. This article aims to evaluate the performance of these Agencies in in the period from 2013 to 2020, having as reference the norms and data made available by the Central Bank of Brazil. In this sense, the analysis includes, in addition to the organization of available data, an evaluation in terms of regional distribution, coverage and availability of credit (potential and effective) by the Agencies. We also sought to assess the behavior of the Agencies in terms of economic cycles, particularly in times of decline or rise in the level of economic activity measured by GDP.
