Abstract

This paper explores the links established by Hayek throughout his work between economic science, theoretical psychology (in its cognitive dimension), and studies on complex systems. The basic argument is that Hayek can be considered a kind of forerunner of connectionism, a theoretical strand that now prevails in studies about Artificial Intelligence
