Summary: In Adam Smith’s America, Glory M Liu makes a balance of the reception and uses of Adam Smith’s in North America, from independence to the twentieth century. Even though Liu doesn’t present us ‘history of economic thought’ in its stricter terms, the enthronment of Adam Smith as the greatest defendent of ‘free trade’ and of competition is very well accessed, and includes Smith’s interpretation (and uses) by many eminent economists throughout the times, in America
