Call for Lalics Rio 2025 Special Section
REC and Lalics Network invite participants of the 6th International Conference of the Lalics Network (LALICS RIO 2025, https://lalicsrio2025.ie.ufrj.br/), held at IE-UFRJ from September 8 to 12, 2025, to submit the papers presented at the conference for publication in a special section of issue 30 of REC to be published in 2026.
In accordance with the Lalics Network's research agenda and REC's editorial policy, this is a call for empirical or theoretical papers, with any methodological approach, that analyze aspects relevant to research and innovation policies in Latin America, at the global, continental, or national levels. Submission requirements are as follows:
- Only papers presented at the Lalics Rio 2025 conference will be considered for this special section.
- Papers cannot have been submitted for review to other journals or books.
- All submissions must comply with the journal's Editorial Policies, as described at https://submission.scielo.br/index.php/rec. Only manuscripts submitted in accordance with the journal's policies will be considered.
All submissions will first undergo preliminary review by the REC editorial board and guest editors, and those deemed suitable will be forwarded to external reviewers. Submissions will be evaluated and accepted for publication based on:
- Suitability to the requirements of this call
- Relevance of the topic and research problem to the current economic debate in Latin America
- Originality of the contribution to the current economic debate in Latin America
- Appropriateness of the materials and methods used
- Quality of the organization and writing of the text

Papers must be submitted through the journal's online submission system (https://submission.scielo.br/index.php/rec/about/submissions) by February 10, 2026.
