Abstract

The research analyzed the factors influencing the satisfaction of university students, users of Academic Information Systems (AIS), through the use of structural equations. The results from the responses of a probabilistic sample composed of 157 users of the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (SIGAA) confirmed that the quality of information, the quality of the information system and perceived usefulness have a significant positive impact on satisfaction. Thus, the theoretical model explaining the mediating effects of perceived usefulness between the quality of information/system and user satisfaction was proven, adopting an error of 8% and a confidence interval of 95%. Theoretical implications include advances in understanding the factors involved in the satisfaction of SIA users and the practices that should be adopted by university managers with a focus on improving the quality of information and the SIA itself.

  • Marllus Lustosa, Universidade Federal do Ceará

    Ph.D. candidate in Brazilian Education at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) (Focus: Institutional Evaluation), Master in Public Policies and Management of Higher Education (UFC), and Bachelor in Computer Science from the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). IT analyst in the Computer Networks Division of the Superintendence of Information Technology at UFC (STI/UFC) and Professor of System Audit in the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program in Audit at the Faculty of Economics, Administration, Actuarial Science, and Accounting (FEAAC/UFC). Since 2019, he has been a member of the scientific committee of the Latin American Congress on Free Software and Open Technologies (LATINOWARE). He was also a member of the Competence and Mediation in Information Environments Research Group (CMAI/UFC). He has more than 10 years of experience in GNU/Linux and BSD-like server administration. He is also a visual artist, crypto-artist, and poet, using AI computational techniques in his productions, with works on permanent display at the UFC Art Museum. In 2021, he released the book *AntologIA poética*, considered the first book of poems in Portuguese generated by an AI model. His current research focuses on predictive models for higher education dropout.
